Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
