Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you speak truly! 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 And there were those who said, 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
