Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 We glorify God." 166 And there were those who said, 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
