Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 And there were those who said, 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
