Hizb 46

And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
