Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 We glorify God." 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
