Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 So you and your deities 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 They used to say: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
