Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 we are the rangers, 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 And there were those who said, 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
