Hizb 46

Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 And surely they used to say: 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And surely, only Our army will be victorious. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
