Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
