Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 They used to say before: 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
