Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Bring your Book, if you speak truly! 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 can lure away from God any 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 They say, 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
