Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 They used to say before: 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
