Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 and we glorify God". 166 And there were those who said, 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
