Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 They used to say: 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
