Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 So you and your deities 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 They used to say before: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 And surely, only Our army will be victorious. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
