Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Bring your Book, if you speak truly! 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 So you and your deities 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 And surely, only Our army will be victorious. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
