Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 And surely they used to say: 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
