Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 and see; soon they shall see! 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
