Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
