Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 We glorify God." 166 And there were those who said, 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
