Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
