S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Saad* – By oath of the renowned Qur’an, (Alphabet of the Arabic language; Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 Those who deny the truth are steeped in arrogance and hostility. 2 How many ancient generations did We destroy? (On facing Our torment) they cried out for help, but it was too late for them to escape. 3 And they marvel that there should come unto them a warner from among themselves. And the infidels say: this is a magician and a liar! 4 Does he claim that all the deities are [but] one God? Verily, a most strange thing is this!" 5 And their leaders went about, “Leave him and cling steadfastly to your Gods! Indeed he has a hidden objective in this!” 6 We have heard nothing like this in the latest religion. This is only his own false invention. 7 Was the message sent only to him out of all of us?" In fact, they doubt My warning; in fact, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Or have they the treasuries of thy Lord's mercy, the All-mighty, the All-giving? 9 Is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for them? So would they not just ascend using ropes? 10 this host too, among other hosts, is bound to suffer defeat. 11 Even before them the people of Noah, 'Ad, the mighty Pharoah, 12 So also did the people of Thamud, Lot, and the dwellers of the Forest. 13 There was not one of those that did not belie the Messengers. Therefore, My retribution was realized. 14
