S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Sad. By the Qur'an containing reminder... 1 But those who disbelieve are in pride and dissension. 2 How many generations have We destroyed before them who cried (for mercy) when it was too late for escape. 3 And they were surprised that a Herald of Warning came to them from among themselves; and the disbelievers said, “He is a magician, a great liar!” 4 What, has he made the gods One God? This is indeed a marvellous thing.' 5 And the eminent among them went forth, [saying], "Continue, and be patient over [the defense of] your gods. Indeed, this is a thing intended. 6 We have not heard of any such thing in the old religion. This is nothing but a fabrication. 7 Hath unto him the admonition been sent down from amongst us! Yea! they are in doubt concerning My admonition. Yea! they have not yet tasted My torment. 8 Or have they the treasuries of thy Lord's mercy, the All-mighty, the All-giving? 9 Or, is theirs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Then let them ascend by (their) means! 10 this host too, among other hosts, is bound to suffer defeat. 11 Before them (were many who) belied Messengers, the people of Nuh (Noah); and 'Ad; and Fir'aun (Pharaoh) the man of stakes (with which he used to punish the people), 12 and Thamood, and the people of Lot, and the men of the Thicket - those were the parties; 13 Not one (of them) but rejected the messengers, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them). 14
