S (Saad)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Suad, I swear by the Quran, full of admonition. 1 Nay, but those who disbelieve are in false pride and schism. 2 How many generations We have destroyed before them! And they cried out when it was too late to escape. 3 Now they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a lying sorcerer. 4 Has he made the gods one single God? This is truly astounding.” 5 And the Council of them depart, saying 'Go! Be steadfast to your gods; this is a thing to be desired. 6 Never did we hear of [a claim like] this in any faith of latter days! It is nothing but [a mortal man's] invention! 7 "Has the Reminder been sent down to him (alone) from among us?" Nay! but they are in doubt about My Reminder (this Quran)! Nay, but they have not tasted (My) Torment! 8 Or, have they the treasuries of the Mercy of your Lord, the Almighty, the Giving? 9 Or is theirs the kingdom of the heavens and earth and of what between them is? Why, then let them ascend the cords! 10 This is just one of the disgraced armies, that will be routed there and then. 11 Before them the people of Noah, Ad, and Pharaoh of the tent-pegs gave the lie (to the Messengers) 12 And the Thamud, the people of Lot, as well as the dwellers of the Wood, had denied. These were the hordes. 13 not one [was there] but gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon My retribution fell due. 14
