S (Saad)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Saad, by the Holy Reading (Koran) of the Remembrance. 1 Those who deny the truth are steeped in arrogance and hostility. 2 How many a generation We destroyed before them, and they cried out when it was no longer the time for escape! 3 They wondered that a warner had come to them from among themselves, and the deniers of the Truth said: “This is a sorcerer, and a big liar. 4 "Has he made the aliha (gods) (all) into One Ilah (God - Allah). Verily, this is a curious thing!" 5 The chiefs among them go about, exhorting: Go and be staunch to your gods! Lo! this is a thing designed. 6 Never did we hear of [a claim like] this in any faith of latter days! It is nothing but [a mortal man's] invention! 7 To him of all of us has the Reminder been sent down?" They are still in doubt about My admonition; but they have not tasted My punishment yet! 8 Or do they have the depositories of the mercy of your Lord, the Exalted in Might, the Bestower? 9 Or is it that theirs is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend by any 10 The army is defeated as (were) the confederates. 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah, and Ad, and Pharaoh, he of the tent-pegs, 12 And the tribe of Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the People of the Woods; these are the groups. 13 not one [was there] but gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon My retribution fell due. 14
