S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Saad, by the Holy Reading (Koran) of the Remembrance. 1 But nay - they who are bent on denying the truth are lost in [false] pride, and [hence] deeply in the wrong. 2 How many generations We have destroyed before them! And they cried out when it was too late to escape. 3 So they wonder that a Warner has come to them from among themselves! and the Unbelievers say, "This is a sorcerer telling lies! 4 What! makes he the gods a single Allah? A strange thing is this, to be sure! 5 Their leaders departed, saying, "Walk away! Hold fast to your deities. This is clearly a conspiracy. 6 “We never heard of this even in Christianity, the latest religion; this is clearly a newly fabricated matter.” 7 What, out of all of us, has the Remembrance been sent down to him (Prophet Muhammad)' No, they are doubtful about My Remembrance, no, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Do they have the stores of the mercy of your Lord, the mighty and munificent? 9 Or is it that theirs is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend by any 10 But there - will be put to flight even a host of confederates. 11 The people of Nuh and Ad, and Firon, the lord of spikes, rejected (apostles) before them. 12 And [the tribe of] Thamud and the people of Lot and the companions of the thicket. Those are the companies. 13 Each of them gave the lie to Messengers and My decree of chastisement came upon them. 14
