S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Sad. By the Qur'an containing reminder... 1 In fact, the unbelievers are the ones who are boastful and quarrelsome. 2 How many a generation We have destroyed before them, and they cried out when there was no longer time for escape! 3 And they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves. And the disbelievers say, "This is a magician and a liar. 4 "Has he made the gods (all) into one Allah? Truly this is a wonderful thing!" 5 And their leaders launch forth [thus]: "Go ahead, and hold steadfastly onto your deities: this, behold, is the only thing to do! 6 Never did we hear of [a claim like] this in any faith of latter days! It is nothing but [a mortal man's] invention! 7 Was the message sent only to him out of all of us?" In fact, they doubt My warning; in fact, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Or have they the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord,- the Exalted in Power, the Grantor of Bounties without measure? 9 Or is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, theirs? Then let them climb up the ladders (to the heavens). 10 this host too, among other hosts, is bound to suffer defeat. 11 Before them the people of Noah denied the truth, as did the 'Ad and Pharaoh of the Stakes, 12 and Thamood, and the people of Lot, and the men of the Thicket - those were the parties; 13 Not one of them but did deny the messengers, therefor My doom was justified, 14
