S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Saad, by the Holy Reading (Koran) of the Remembrance. 1 Nay, those who desbelieve are in false pride and opposition. 2 How many a generation We have destroyed before them, and they cried out when there was no longer time for escape! 3 They are surprised that a warner should come to them from among themselves. They say, "This is a magician, a great liar. 4 Has he made the gods [only] one God? Indeed, this is a curious thing." 5 Their assembly left (saying): 'Go, and be patient to your gods, this is something to be desired. 6 "We never heard (the like) of this among the people of these latter days: this is nothing but a made-up tale!" 7 Has the message been revealed to him out of [all of] us?" Rather, they are in doubt about My message. Rather, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Or have they the treasures of the Mercy of your Lord, the All-Mighty, the Real Bestower? 9 Or is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them theirs? Then let them ascend by ropes! 10 But there - will be put to flight even a host of confederates. 11 Even before them the people of Noah, 'Ad, the mighty Pharoah, 12 And Samood and the people of Lut and the dwellers of the thicket; these were the parties. 13 Each of them who rejected the Messenger become subject to Our punishment. 14
