S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
SAD. I CALL to witness the admonishing Qur'an. 1 In fact, the unbelievers are the ones who are boastful and quarrelsome. 2 How many generations have We destroyed before them. They called: 'The time is neither of escape, nor safety' 3 Now these [people] deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst - and [so] the deniers of the truth are saying: "A [mere] spellbinder is he, a liar! 4 Has he made the gods one single God? This is truly astounding.” 5 Their leaders departed, saying, "Walk away! Hold fast to your deities. This is clearly a conspiracy. 6 We have not heard of this in the last religion; this is surely an invention. 7 Hath the reminder been unto him (alone) among us? Nay, but they are in doubt concerning My reminder; nay but they have not yet tasted My doom. 8 Or, have they the treasuries of the Mercy of your Lord, the Almighty, the Giving? 9 Or, is theirs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and that which is in-between the twain? If so, let them ascend by steps. 10 (As they denied Allah's Message) they will be a defeated host like the confederates of the old times (who were defeated). 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and [the tribe of] 'Aad and Pharaoh, the owner of stakes, 12 and so did Thamud and the people of Lot and the people of Aykah. These were all leagued together. 13 Not one of them but did deny the messengers, therefor My doom was justified, 14
