S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Saad, by the Holy Reading (Koran) of the Remembrance. 1 In fact, the unbelievers are the ones who are boastful and quarrelsome. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed afore them, and they cried when there was not time of fleeing. 3 They marvel now that, from among themselves, a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say: 'This is a lying sorcerer. 4 Maketh he the gods One Allah? Lo! that is an astounding thing. 5 Their leaders departed, saying, "Walk away! Hold fast to your deities. This is clearly a conspiracy. 6 "We have not heard (the like) of this among the people of these later days. This is nothing but an invention! 7 Has the reminder been revealed to him from among us? Nay! they are in doubt as to My reminder. Nay! they have not yet tasted My chastisement! 8 Or is it that they have the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Mighty, the great Giver? 9 Or is theirs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend through [any] ways of access. 10 this host too, among other hosts, is bound to suffer defeat. 11 Before them the people of Noah denied the truth, as did the 'Ad and Pharaoh of the Stakes, 12 Thamood, the nation of Lot and the dwellers of the Thicket such were the confederates. 13 Of all these there was not one who did not deny the messengers. So My retribution was justified. 14
