In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Suad, I swear by the Quran, full of admonition. 1 But those who disbelieve are in pride and dissension. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed afore them, and they cried when there was not time of fleeing. 3 They are surprised that a warner should come to them from among themselves. They say, "This is a magician, a great liar. 4 "Has he made the gods (all) into one Allah? Truly this is a wonderful thing!" 5 And the leaders among them went about (saying): "Go on, and remain constant to your aliha (gods)! Verily, This is a thing designed (against you)! 6 We have not heard of any such thing in the old religion. This is nothing but a fabrication. 7 “Is the Qur’an which is sent to him, among us?” In fact they are in a doubt concerning My Book; in fact, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Or have they the treasures of the Mercy of your Lord, the All-Mighty, the Real Bestower? 9 Do they own the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Let them try on their own to block (the ways of heavens so that Our revelations cannot come to you). 10 A defeated host are (all) the factions that are there. 11 Before them, the people of Nooh had denied, and the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun who used to crucify. 12 and so did Thamud and the people of Lot and the people of Aykah. These were all leagued together. 13 not one [was there] but gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon My retribution fell due. 14
