And We have not created the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose; this is what the disbelievers assume; therefore ruin is for the disbelievers, by the fire. 27 Shall We treat those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the same as those who do mischief on earth? Shall We treat those who guard against evil, the same as those who turn aside from the right? 28 It is a blessed Book which We have revealed for you so that you will reflect upon its verses and so the people of understanding will take heed. 29 And We gave to Dawood Sulaiman, most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah). 30 When there were shown to him at eventide lightfooted coursers 31 He said: verily I have loved the love of earthly good above the remembrance of my Lord until the sun hath disappeared behind the veil. 32 "Bring them back to me!" -- [he said] and began to stroke their legs and their necks. 33 Indeed, We tried Solomon and placed a body (of a child) upon his throne, then he repented. 34 He said, 'My Lord, forgive me, and give me a kingdom such as may not befall anyone after me; surely Thou art the All-giver.' 35 We subjected the wind to him, so that it blew gently at his bidding, wherever he directed it, 36 And the devils -- the builders and divers of all kinds, 37 and others joined together by (iron) fetters. 38 This is Our free gift, therefore give freely or withhold, without reckoning. 39 His reward will be nearness to Us, a good place to return to. 40
