We did not create heaven and earth and all that is between them in vain. That is the opinion of those who deny the truth. Woe betide those who deny the truth, when they are cast into the Fire -- 27 Shall We treat those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the same as those who do mischief on earth? Shall We treat those who guard against evil, the same as those who turn aside from the right? 28 This is a Book which We have sent down upon you, a blessed Book, for them to ponder upon its verses, and for men of intellect to accept advice. 29 To David We gave Solomon (for a son),- How excellent in Our service! Ever did he turn (to Us)! 30 Behold, there were brought before him, at eventide coursers of the highest breeding, and swift of foot; 31 he said, "My love of horses for the cause of God has made me continue watching them until sunset, thus making me miss my prayer". 32 "Bring them back to me!" -- [he said] and began to stroke their legs and their necks. 33 And We indeed tested Sulaiman, and placed a dead body on his throne – he therefore inclined towards His Lord. 34 He said: “My Lord, forgive me and bestow upon me a kingdom such as none other after me will deserve. Surely You are the Bounteous Giver.” 35 Then We subjected to him the wind: it ran gently by his command withersoever he directed. 36 And [also] the devils [of jinn] - every builder and diver 37 And others fettered in chains. 38 [Saying of Allah to Sulaiman (Solomon)]: "This is Our gift, so spend you or withhold, no account will be asked." 39 And he has a place near to Us, and a fine return. 40
