We did not create heaven and earth and all that is between them in vain. That is the opinion of those who deny the truth. Woe betide those who deny the truth, when they are cast into the Fire -- 27 Or should we treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like corrupters in the land? Or should We treat those who fear Allah like the wicked? 28 This is a Book which We have sent down upon you, a blessed Book, for them to ponder upon its verses, and for men of intellect to accept advice. 29 And to David We gave Solomon. An excellent servant, indeed he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 30 [and even] when, towards the close of day, nobly-bred, swift-footed steeds were brought before him, 31 He said: "The love of horses is worthy of desire to me for the remembrance of my Lord;" and when they were out of sight, (he said): 32 "Bring them back to me!" -- [he said] and began to stroke their legs and their necks. 33 Indeed, We tried Solomon and placed a body (of a child) upon his throne, then he repented. 34 Saying: "O Lord, forgive me, and give me such a dominion as none will merit after me. You are the great bestower." 35 We therefore gave the wind under his control, moving steadily by his command wherever he wished. 36 And also the Shayatin (devils) from the jinns (including) every kind of builder and diver, 37 The rest of the devils were bound in chains. 38 (Saying): This is Our gift, so bestow thou, or withhold, without reckoning. 39 And most surely he had a nearness to Us and an excellent resort. 40
