We have not created the heavens and earth, and what between them is, for vanity; such is the thought of the unbelievers, wherefore woe unto the unbelievers because of the Fire! 27 Shall We treat those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, as Mufsidun (those who associate partners in worship with Allah and commit crimes) on earth? Or shall We treat the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2), as the Fujjar (criminals, disbelievers, wicked, etc)? 28 [All this have We expounded in this] blessed divine writ which We have revealed unto thee, [O Muhammad,] so that men may ponder over its messages, and that those who are endowed with insight may take them to heart. 29 We gave David Solomon. He was an excellent servant who always turned to God. 30 And when one evening well-trained and running horses of noble breed were brought to him 31 he said: “Lo! I have come to love this wealth on account of the remembrance of my Lord.” And when the horses disappeared, 32 Bring them back to me' And he hacked their legs and necks (slaughtering them for Allah). 33 We tested Solomon by (causing death to his son) and leaving his body on Solomon's chair. Then he turned to Us in repentance, 34 He said: 'Forgive me my Lord, and give me a kingdom the like of which will not befall any after me, surely, You are the Giver' 35 So We subjected to him the wind, that ran at his commandment, softly, wherever he might light on, 36 as well as all the rebellious forces [that We made to work for him] - every kind of builder and diver 37 and others also, coupled in fetters: 38 We said: "This is Our gift, so give or withhold as you wish without reckoning." 39 He has a high position with Us and an excellent abode. 40
