Ever did he turn (to Us)! 30 When fast footed steeds were presented to him at evening. 31 he said, "My love of horses for the cause of God has made me continue watching them until sunset, thus making me miss my prayer". 32 "Bring them back to me!" -- [he said] and began to stroke their legs and their necks. 33 We surely tried Solomon, and placed another body on his throne. So he turned to God 34 He prayed, "Lord forgive me! Grant me such power as no one after me will have -- You are the Most Generous Provider." 35 We therefore gave the wind under his control, moving steadily by his command wherever he wished. 36 and the Satans, every builder and diver 37 And others linked together in chains, 38 'This is Our gift; bestow or withhold without reckoning.' 39 And indeed for him in Our presence are, surely, proximity and an excellent abode. 40
