And We did not create the heaven and the earth and what is between them in vain; that is the opinion of those who disbelieve then woe to those who disbelieve on account of the fire. 27 Do We consider the righteously striving believers equal to the evil-doers in the land? Are the pious ones equal to those who openly commit sin? 28 [This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded. 29 We gave David Solomon. He was an excellent servant who always turned to God. 30 When in the evening were presented to him the standing steeds, 31 He said: "The love of horses is worthy of desire to me for the remembrance of my Lord;" and when they were out of sight, (he said): 32 He then ordered, “Bring them back to me”; and he began caressing their shins and necks. 33 We surely tried Solomon, and placed another body on his throne. So he turned to God 34 He prayed, "Lord forgive me! Grant me such power as no one after me will have -- You are the Most Generous Provider." 35 So We subjected to him the wind blowing by his command, gently, wherever he directed, 36 And We subjected to him the evil ones: every builder and diver. 37 And others linked together in chains, 38 “This is Our bestowal. So give or withhold as you wish without account.” 39 In Our eyes he certainly has a high position and the best place to return. 40
