We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all for nothing. Only those who deny imagine so. So for the unbelievers there is woe from the fire. 27 Shall We then treat alike those that believe and act righteously and those that create mischief on earth? Or treat alike the God-fearing and the wicked? 28 (It is) a Book We have revealed to you abounding in good that they may ponder over its verses, and that those endowed with understanding may be mindful. 29 And to David We gave Solomon. An excellent servant, indeed he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 30 When in the evening were presented to him the standing steeds, 31 He said: verily I have loved the love of earthly good above the remembrance of my Lord until the sun hath disappeared behind the veil. 32 Bring them back to me; so he began to slash (their) legs and necks. 33 And We certainly tried Solomon and placed on his throne a body; then he returned. 34 He said: “My Lord, forgive me and bestow upon me a kingdom such as none other after me will deserve. Surely You are the Bounteous Giver.” 35 So, We subjected to him the wind, it blew gently to his order whithersoever he willed, 36 And the unruly, every builder and diver (made We subservient), 37 and others that were bound with chains. 38 "Such are Our Bounties: whether thou bestow them (on others) or withhold them, no account will be asked." 39 He has a high position with Us and an excellent abode. 40
