And remember Our bondman Ayyub (Job); when he cried out* to his Lord, “The devil has struck me with hardship and pain.” (After seven years of patience.) 41 Stamp the ground with thy foot, yonder is water to wash in, cool, and water to drink. 42 And We bestowed upon him new offspring, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder unto all who are endowed with insight. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 We gave them this pure distinction because of their continual remembrance of the Day of Judgment. 46 And behold, in Our sight they were indeed among the elect, the truly good! 47 And make mention of Ishmael and Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. All are of the chosen. 48 This was a remembrance. An excellent retreat awaits the God-fearing 49 'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered]. 50 in which they will recline, and call for abundant fruit and drink therein. 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 Lo! this in truth is Our provision, which will never waste away. 54 This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return - 55 Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the resting place. 56 This is for the criminals – so that they may taste it – boiling hot water and pus. 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 Here is a multitude rushing headlong with you. There is no welcome for them. They will roast in the fire. 59 Their followers will say, "In fact, it is you who deserve condemnation. It was you who led us to hell, a terrible dwelling". 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 And they will Say: what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the evil ones? 62 Did we take them as an object of mockery, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 Such disputes will certainly take place among the dwellers of hell fire. 64
