Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 Urge with your foot; here is a cool washing-place and a drink. 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 And take in thine hand a handful of twigs, and strike therewith, and break not thine oath. Verily We! We found him patient. How excellent a bondman! Verily he was oft-returning. 44 Remember Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob -- possessors of strength and vision. 45 We indeed gave them distinction with a genuine affair – the remembrance of the (everlasting) abode. 46 In Our sight they are among the chosen and excellent ones. 47 Remember [Our servants] Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu'l-Kifl. Each of them was among the just. 48 This is an admonition, and verily for the God-fearing is a happy retreat: 49 Gardens of Eden with gates open wide to them, 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for fruits in abundance and drinks; 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 this is Our provision, unto which there is no end.' 54 This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return - 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 This (shall be so); so let them taste it, boiling and intensely cold (drink). 57 And similar other punishments in pairs. 58 Here is a multitude rushing headlong with you. There is no welcome for them. They will roast in the fire. 59 They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], brought this upon us, and wretched is the settlement." 60 They will say: “Our Lord, give twofold punishment in the Fire to him who has led us to this.” 61 And they say, “What is the matter with us that we do not see the men whom we thought were evil?” 62 Have we taken them in mockery? Or, have our eyes swerved from them?' 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
