Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 (We commanded him): “Stamp your foot on earth, and here is cool water to wash with and to drink.” 42 And We gave him (back) his people, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who have Understanding. 43 And take in your hand a green branch and beat her with It and do not break your oath; surely We found him patient; most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah). 44 And commemorate Our Servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, possessors of Power and Vision. 45 Indeed, We purified them with a most pure quality, the remembrance of the Everlasting Life. 46 Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent. 47 And remember Isma'il (Ishmael), Al-Yasa'a (Elisha), and Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah), all are among the best. 48 This is a commemoration. Surely for those who take heed for themselves is an excellent place of return -- 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are open to them, 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for plenteous fruit and drink. 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 'This is what you were promised for the Day of Reckoning; 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 This is for the virtuous; and indeed for the rebellious is a wretched destination. 55 Gehenna, wherein they are roasted - an evil cradling! 56 all this will be theirs; let them taste it -- a scalding, dark, foul fluid, 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 (We shall say to their leaders): 'This is a troop rushing in with you, there is no welcome for them, they shall roast in the Fire' 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They will say: our Lord! whosever hath brought this upon us, unto him increase doubly the torment of the Fire. 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 Did we take them as an object of mockery, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 Surely that is true the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire 64
