(Muhammad), recall Our servant Job. When he prayed to his Lord saying, "Satan has afflicted me with hardship and torment," 41 Stamp the ground with thy foot, yonder is water to wash in, cool, and water to drink. 42 And We bestowed on him his household and along with them the like thereof, out of mercy from us, and a remembrance unto men of understanding. 43 And take in thine hand a handful of twigs, and strike therewith, and break not thine oath. Verily We! We found him patient. How excellent a bondman! Verily he was oft-returning. 44 Also, remember Our worshipers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, those of might and vision. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl, and all are among the outstanding. 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 Gardens of Eden with gates open wide to them, 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 Verily this is Our provision: there will be no ceasing thereof. 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 Hell! Where they will burn, and worst (indeed) is that place to rest! 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)! 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 Have we taken them in mockery? Or, have our eyes swerved from them?' 63 Such, behold, will in truth be the [confusion and] mutual wrangling of the people of the fire! 64
