Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 (We answered his prayer, healed his sickness, and told him), "Run on your feet. This is cool water (for you) to wash and drink". 42 We restored his family to him with others similar to them, as a blessing from Us and a reminder for men of wisdom. -- 43 (and We said to him): “Take in your hand a bundle of rushes and strike with it, and do not break your oath.” Indeed We found him steadfast. How excellent a servant (of Ours) he was. Indeed he constantly turned (to his Lord). 44 And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac), and Ya'qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding. 45 Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter]. 46 Indeed with Us they are among the chosen, the excellent. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. Every one of them is among the best. 48 This is a reminder; and most surely there is an excellent resort for those who guard (against evil), 49 Everlasting Gardens – all its gates are open for them. 50 wherein they recline, and wherein they call for fruits abundant, and sweet potions, 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This is what you were promised on the Day of Reckoning: 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 hell will they have to endure - and how vile a resting-place! 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)! 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 The followers will say, “In fact, for you! May you not get open space! It is you who brought this calamity upon us!” So what a wretched destination. 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 What, did we take them for a laughing-stock? Or have our eyes swerved away from them?' 63 Such, behold, will in truth be the [confusion and] mutual wrangling of the people of the fire! 64
