1/2 Hizb 46
< random >
And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment. 41 (We answered his prayer, healed his sickness, and told him), "Run on your feet. This is cool water (for you) to wash and drink". 42 And We bestowed upon him new offspring, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder unto all who are endowed with insight. 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter. 46 And indeed they are, to Us, among the chosen and outstanding. 47 Remember [Our servants] Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu'l-Kifl. Each of them was among the just. 48 This is a Reminder. The righteous shall have a good place to return to: 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for plenteous fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And with them will be maidens of equal age with modest gaze. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 (It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our Provision which will never finish; 54 This (for the virtuous); but for the transgressors the evil destination, 55 Hell, wherein they roast: a wretched couch. 56 All this; so let them taste it - boiling water and pus, 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 Their leaders will be told, "This band will also be thrown headlong with you into hell." Their leaders will exclaim, "May condemnation fall upon them! Let them suffer the torment of fire". 59 [And] they [who had been seduced] will exclaim: "Nay, but it is you! No welcome to you! It is you who have prepared this for us: and how vile a state to abide in!" 60 They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" 61 And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst? 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 Verily, that is the very truth, the mutual dispute of the people of the Fire! 64
