Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 [and thereupon was told:] "Strike [the ground] with thy foot: here is cool water to wash with and to drink!" 42 We restored his family to him, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder to all who are endowed with insight. 43 And We said, “Take a broom in your hand and strike her with it, and do not break your vow”; We indeed found him patiently enduring; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 44 And remember thou Our bondmen, Ibrahim and Is-haq and Ya'qub, owners of might and insight. 45 We indeed gave them distinction with a genuine affair – the remembrance of the (everlasting) abode. 46 Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent. 47 Also, remember our worshipers Ishmael, Elisha, and ThulKifl, they are among the good. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 The gardens of perpetuity, the doors are opened for them. 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ and wherein there shall be with them well-matched, bashful mates. 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 Indeed, this is Our provision; for it there is no depletion. 54 All of this; but, for the proud there is an ill return. 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 This is so! Then let them taste it, a boiling fluid and dirty wound discharges. 57 and other torments of the like kind coupled together. 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They will continue saying, "Lord, double the torment of fire for those who led us into this. 61 And they will say: "What is the matter with us that we see not men whom we used to count among the bad ones?" 62 What, did we take them for a laughing-stock? Or have our eyes swerved away from them?' 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
