Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 "Go swiftly to the spring," (We said). "This cold water is for bathing and for drinking." 42 We restored his family to him, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder to all who are endowed with insight. 43 (We said to him): 'Take a bundle of rushes and strike with it; and do not break your oath' We found him to be patient, a good worshiper and he was penitent. 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 And in Our sight, they are indeed the chosen ones, the beloved. 47 And call to mind Ishmael and Elisha, and every one who [like them] has pledged himself [unto Us]: for, each of them was of the truly good! 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them. 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 'This is what you are promised on the Day of Recompense, 53 This is surely Our provision never-ending. 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 (They will be told), "This is your recompense. 57 and other sufferings of the kind. 58 Here is an army rushing blindly with you. (Those who are already in the Fire say): No word of welcome for them. Lo! they will roast at the Fire. 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they will add: "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we were wont to count among the wicked, 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 That most surely is the truth: the contending one with another of the inmates of the fire. 64
