And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment." 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 And We bestowed on him (again) his household and therewith the like thereof, a mercy from Us, and a memorial for men of understanding. 43 We told him, "Take a handful of straw. Strike your wife with it to fulfill your oath." We found him to be patient. What an excellent servant he was. He was certainly most repenting. 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 We gave them this pure distinction because of their continual remembrance of the Day of Judgment. 46 And behold, in Our sight they were indeed among the elect, the truly good! 47 Remember [Our servants] Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu'l-Kifl. Each of them was among the just. 48 This is a Message (of admonition): and verily, for the righteous, is a beautiful Place of (Final) Return,- 49 'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered]. 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ and wherein there shall be with them well-matched, bashful mates. 52 'This is what you were promised for the Day of Reckoning; 53 Truly such will be Our Bounty (to you); it will never fail;- 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 They will suffer in hell. What a terrible dwelling! 56 All this (is for them); so let them taste boiling water and pus, 57 And other Penalties of a similar kind, to match them! 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people who rushed headlong [into sin] with you? No welcome to them! Verily, they [too] shall have to endure the fire!" 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They shall say: Our Lord! whoever prepared it first for us, add Thou to him a double chastisement in the fire. 61 And they will Say: what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the evil ones? 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Surely that is true the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire 64
