And remember Our slave Ayub (Job), when he invoked his Lord (saying): "Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has touched me with distress (by losing my health) and torment (by losing my wealth)! 41 "Go swiftly to the spring," (We said). "This cold water is for bathing and for drinking." 42 And We gave him (back) his family, and along with them the like thereof, as a Mercy from Us, and a Reminder for those who understand. 43 (We said to him): 'Take a bundle of rushes and strike with it; and do not break your oath' We found him to be patient, a good worshiper and he was penitent. 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 And in Our sight, they are indeed the chosen ones, the beloved. 47 And make mention of Ishmael and Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. All are of the chosen. 48 This is a Reminder, and indeed for the cautious is a fine return, 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are open to them, 50 in which they will recline, and call for abundant fruit and drink therein. 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 'This is what you were promised for the Day of Reckoning; 53 Our provision for you will never be exhausted. 54 All of this; but, for the proud there is an ill return. 55 They shall roast in (the Fire) of Gehenna, an evil cradling. 56 Here is a boiling and an ice-cold draught, so let them taste it, 57 And other torments, like thereof, conjoined. 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 They will say: 'Our Lord, give those who brought this upon us double the punishment of the Fire' 61 And they will add: "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we were wont to count among the wicked, 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?" 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
