Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 (We answered his prayer, healed his sickness, and told him), "Run on your feet. This is cool water (for you) to wash and drink". 42 And We granted to him his family and also the like of them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to people of understanding, 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 And remember Our bondmen Ibrahim, and Ishaq, and Yaqub – the men of power and knowledge. 45 We indeed gave them distinction with a genuine affair – the remembrance of the (everlasting) abode. 46 And verily they are with us of the elect of the excellent ones. 47 Remember also Our servants Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhul Kifl; each is among the excellent. 48 This is a reminder; and most surely there is an excellent resort for those who guard (against evil), 49 Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them. 50 Reclining within them, they will call therein for abundant fruit and drink. 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 All this is what you are promised for the Day of Judgement. 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 Hell!- they will burn therein, - an evil bed (indeed, to lie on)!- 56 This, [then, for them] so let them taste it: burning despair and ice-cold darkness 57 And other torments of similar kind, all together! 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They will say nay! it is ye, for whom there is no welcome: it is ye who have brought it upon us. Evil shall be the resting-place. 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?" 63 Surely that is true the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire 64
